Hmm I can kinda understand both sides of the argument in this one. At least the hero AND the MC. The MC isn't explaining anything, just saying they're necessary. He's never tried to explain, either, so it's not as if he just didn't want to explain because of past bad experiences he's had with the party for doing so. So Ashram is just going on what little he has observed is happening. But at the same time I get why the MC acts like that. His distrust of rich people clearly has a reason. He also isn't actually doing what he's been accused of.
