Read. Seriously the age gap isnt a big deal (35 and 19) plus he is more like a guardian than a husband so far. They are forced into this marriage due to politics so its not like they had a choice and on top of that she gets the fulfillment of raising children which was her wish. I highly recommend and dont over think it, its fictional. No need for concern.

Oh gotcha, but still not a bad story so far. I think I like the idea of her being 19 instead to set time after graduating and waiting for her fiancé, just as a personal choice.
All good, I am used to this setting because I know its common back then to marry young and given her situation, she is lucky to marry a man who won't abuse her for something she couldn’t control. They are most likely endgame which, honestly fair, at least.this story has Yvette an older bride than what Marriage of Convenience did where that fl was 9 when she married a man 11 years her senior, a good man at least and they fell naturally for each other after the FL tries to go after him to gain a child in her second chance at life.

I believe it. He does NOT look 50. He looks in his early to mid 30s. My guess is the eldest son may be Dukes nephew and married his brothers fiancé to save their families from ruin. Just a thought but cannot wait to see more.
