I think its more like he finally become family with only theo just like he wanted. He only want to escape from his father not theo
This sucks because the mc was never truly free. He’s stuck with someone as sick as his father who thinks of him as a possession and is willing to do horrible things just to keep mc by his side. He didn’t care about the deaths of the other children as long as it meant the mc was happy, and clearly would not be willing to let mc go if he refused all the way untill the end. It’s like a case of Stockholm syndrome but super fucked up and incesty.
Mc clearly has a bunch of mental disorders and trauma from paradise that only helped lead him to the life he’s living today. I cant help but feel sick after reading storys like this knowing that the mc is gonna stay trapped in this extremely toxic relationship under the delusion that it’s love and not being able to see the reality of his life. Unfortunately, this is reality for many people today, their situation gets so bad that the have to live in a fake reality ignoring all the shit they went through (mostly) completely convinced that life is ok. I wish this story was a bit thought out more cause it’s a good concept, but the execution just feels like an excuse to write about incest and skips over how toxic ml really is T-T
