I kinda disagree with the power thing. Yeonwu holds as much power on Rosa as Rosa does on him. Financially yes Rosa is at the advantage here but that’s only because of her mom. If Mom was to find out what these two were doing. I 10000% think Rosa would end up the same as Yeonwu. No amount of motherly love would save her from her moms wrath of having her own daughter fuck her soon to be husband. If anything Yeonwu holds some sort of power on Rosa‘s mental state. He is capable of making her spiral, she becomes angry, dramatic, impulsive. She does before she thinks when it comes to this guy making her clumsy it’s kinda laughable how she is trying to portray herself as this higher level but she just looks like a child trying to fill into adult shoes. Even Yeonwu can see that. Bunch of things he says and does gets her frustrated. She reacts like a cat who just learned something new. Yeonwu is experienced in sex and other stuff. He is capable of getting her unsettled. Occupying her mind and thoughts. Even during sex with that human dildo she is incapable of thinking of anything else but Yeonwu. So yeah if we are talking about power. They both hold the same level. Yeonwu is capable of just going at her and grabbing the ring. He is capable to stopping her from doing these sort of things. He is capable of pushing and telling her straight up No. But he likes it, he admitted to that himself. He just doesn’t want to say no. It’s no use. She has already taken over him just the same as he has over her. They are in one word as sick as it is. Soulmates. They were made for each other.

Personally, I think the story is doing just as much heavy-lifting as the art is, but that's just me. Them having a twisted intimacy is really nice. I also REALLY like the fact that he (yeonwu) is an active participant in his relationship with rosa and not just helpless to her harassment it makes it feel much more mutual and even somewhat equal. Obviously their situations are not equal (to his pleasure?) and she wields waaaay more power over his borderline-subordinate position in their household, but his subtle manipulations and display of autonomy make it feel like an angst slow-burn about two troubled people struggling to pursuit an honest expression of love, rather than pure smut slop. For anyone that is worried about the direction the story is going, I have high hopes and I'm sure it won't pan out badly. I love the art but I genuinely like the story and the characters a lot.
