I read this a while ago but il try to answer. So their first life was actually the Novel one. The novdl huimin was reading was actually their first life because of misunderstanding both of them turned against each other where they both ml somewhat drove mc to his death.
After dying both of them gets transferred to Huimins drawing world which was not real since everything would freeze if mc wasn't there. It was a world created by mc just for himself and ml was there smhw. After a certain period ended the drawing world collapsed and they went back to their original world but a lot early in the timeline. Atp ml had forgotten both the world while mc only remembered the drawing world and thought he was in some novel. And it was muchh later thst ml remembered and mc did too towards the end when he saw his drawings
About their feelings drawing world was mc wish to live a normal life with ml without aplha omega tags and what if he never liked ml scenario. So it was not like he didn't realise he just wanted to live out a diffrent life and Inheon tried to respect his decision while resisting his own obsession of mc

And did Huimin not realize his feelings for Iheon there, which is why they stayed just friends? Is that why Iheon wanted to go back and restart their life in the real world?
