U said it perfectly. I dont hate him but i dont like him either necessarily. I dont like groveling too much in these stories, its usually just them feeling pity for themselves and being on their knees. The true "groveling" is owning up to ur actions, reflecting, making it up to the person and most of all changing accordingly

I think this character arc is actually so important for him to experience. I don’t feel sorry for him, I more so feel relieved because su-jeong just gave him a chance to be a real person and actually confront his trauma and start to heal, which from my experience, a lot of guys in their early 20s don’t really get to do. They sometimes end up in a misogynistic-infested male-centric echo chamber and develop into a crusty shell of a human who can hurt people (especially women) incredibly easily.
Tbh the reason I don’t feel sorry for him isn’t because he was an asshole, it’s because literally everyone has their own trauma and own stuff they’re dealing with, and it doesn’t give you an excuse to treat people badly, which is what he did. I empathise with him, but I don’t feel sympathy. You need to confront your own demons and it’s honestly not anyone else’s problem.
It’s good he’s starting to understand the impact you can have on a person, and to be more careful and kind in the future.
