I think it cuz the mc decision. Like stupid. He didn't maintain anything. Not his career not someone his love. He literally hurt everyone and then bcome the victim of his decision. Even in his pov i still don't understand why he can't be determined with his own decision like do u want to get back to ur old friend or nah . Or why he didn't try to explain or clarify anything. He literally js wait and see and ML come himself to help -_-
He's just imperfect. Young and abused by his shit father, he didn't seem to know any better or be able to stand up for himself. You could say he's a loser, but imo, that's what lays the foundation for a complicated relationship and the angst in the story.
Idk bro it just bitter taste. So i kinda understand other ppl saying this kinda bad story.
I skipped the whole backstory because it was so ass and now I don’t even get to read the good part bruh
