Okay so in the beginning, I wanted Raymond and Winter to get together. THEN he gets crazy and locks him up so I changed my mind. And then of course the author bombs us with why Winter acts like that so you can’t hate him 100% due to his upbringing and his only exposure to “love” in which Raymond also had an influence on during Winter’s adolescence period. Raymond’s life itself was also messed up, to think Dominic, the man who practically raised him, did all that to him due to an unrequited love for Raymond’s mother. Honestly, if Winter just waited for Raymond to fall in love with him, it would’ve been better, but I guess the author wanted to show character development in the later chapters. What the manhwa did well on were the backstories, they were consistent, made sense, and added a lot to the plot. Without the well written backstories, it would’ve been difficult to understand why the characters are the way they are. Additionally, they were timed and told really well, so props to that. Can we talk about the end where his parents show up out of nowhere…okay, how does that make sense. Lily said she got better due to modern medicine and technology which explain why she is alive. But it would’ve been better if anywhere along the story, it showed young Raymond calling his mom or visiting his mom after staying with Dominic and his family. She also mentioned that Raymond has been calling her more often and maybe its because of Winter, and honestly maybe they should’ve showed a phone call or two. And of course theres Dominic, honestly he should’ve been arrested but of course that would make the story longer so maybe it was a bit more difficult to add what happens to him. But was it really necessary to have him in the vacation? Personally, I think no, since he never really showed up after anyway. Anyway, the ending itself was fine, they both got over their trauma and had a lot of character development but I wish it showed more of that. Because personally I think other than the memories coming back, he just got Stockholm syndrome or something because how do you forgive that behavior so easily. Also he shot him, though Winter knows why and honestly, valid on Raymond’s part, I’m pretty sure it would still be hard to get over. So, if you’re looking for a dramatic manhwa with a lot of smut and have no history or disgust with sexual crimes then this is for you i guess. If you don’t have any interest with those things, its better to skip this one because there is too many scenes of sexual crimes against a person.
