Fr, I once saw a comment on a straight rape story where someone said they could only tolerate rape in yaoi, but couldn't stomach it in a straight story because the victim was a woman. They also said they didn't mind it when the victim was a man because they're a woman and can only relate to female victims.
I was honestly disgusted by that mindset. I always thought hating rape wasn't supposed to be about gender, but about the simple fact that sexual assault is a vile and horrible act, regardless of who the victim is
