Work on a new manga

Rottengirltothecore April 29, 2026 5:42 am

How can I tell that this new manga I want to work on is not in other scanlation's upcoming project? I just know 2-3 of them and there's no way I check on all scanlation's website one by one ┗( T﹏T )┛

I have. No scanlation team is working on them, and one manga hasn't even been listed there yet. But then again, not all scanlation teams are linked to Mangaupdates, so it's not accurate sometimes. I think it’s safe to work on a manga if there’s no info about which scanlation is doing it on the website, but I’m afraid it might be in their upcoming projects :')

that's tough. I don't think you'd be in the wrong if info like that wasn't somewhere you could just look up. if there's another scanlator out there, you're simply in a race to be first at this point. it'd be one thing if you were hijacking a series that was already being worked on, but this is fair game imo.

You're right! It still takes a while for me to finish one manga, so I began to gather opinions about this matter. And having you answered my question is a huge help. Thank you so much (▰˘◡˘▰)
