I didn't read the novel but in the early chapter when she first tell the duke mother story the mother was blonde it was weird for me when they just showed her with black hair
Its been a long long time since I read the novel but from what I remember I had the feeling that ML still could be the Dukes biological son.
Everyone keeps saying ML is the emperor's son but while reading the part about his mother and what happened to her I just couldn't shake off the feeling that she was already pregnant when the disgusting king took her hostage.
They made it seem like the Duke was send away right after their wedding but if I remember correctly they still had their wedding night or smth
The King lied because he hated the Duke for meeting the Duchess first and marrying her!
And please correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't the former Duchess blond? That's why in the following chapters the king and his disgusting sons will get obsessed about our FL, because she looks so much like the former Duchess!
I know she was portrayed with dark her in chap 14 but if I remember correctly the ML just didn't know what she looked like because the King got rid of every little trace about her.
Except for a single portrait that hangs in his bedroom and when FL sees that portrait i think it qas described that the former Duchess looked like her!!
