I hate when we discuss the meaning of revenge in these situations. This isn't revenge. It's justice. It's not like the emperor was ever held accountable or that there is normal way to do it. He literally wronged people and went his merry way and now we have to discuss if the wronged people are right to bring him punishment or not. If he took him to court no one would ask, is revenge meaningful? But he can't so he has to deliver his own justice duh.
Always expecting victims and survivors of power to jump up and down and do exhausting mental gymnastics. Just to leave a piece of shit in power. Expecting people to get no justice and stay quiet.
