Agreed, I think it was pretty obvious from the beginning chapters that we had 2 main characters being Ian and Tj, Jo was a plot device to get the story going in terms of testing their relationship and seeing just how far it would go which ultimately led them to finally take a chance together instead of just sleeping with each other while all their unresolved feelings just go left unsaid. Jo was a wonderful minor character, the plot was also more than just their relationship it was about how minor characters lives intertwined with the main characters and we even got to see the criminal side of the story with Tj even serving time in prison like most BLs the crime boss almost always gets away with many horrible crimes so it was kinda new and refreshing to see.

It's clear Ian always will go back to tj. Him leaving Jo cold during Christmas was the first sign. The funny thing is even Jo said he is aware Ian's heart is never there for him but his stans kept saying no.
From what I see Jo is there to show us that even if Ian wavers, in the end his heart is forever with tj.
All of them have their complications ( Jo being the least because let's be real, he's only there because of Ian. Without Ian he has no story at all )
Guys let's be fr a bit now looking at it it was obvious that TJ was the end game cs Ian kept pushing Jo away calling it a one night stand nthg more and Jo was still consistent when Ian says I like u back I think it was chap 36 it was followed by ( the guy Infront of me has that almost obsessive look in his eyes it's bears an uncanny resemblance to how someone else used to look at me (TJ) and then he proceeds to say it made me want to test my wretched fate one more time) he was gambling with it he was confused it felt like he was saying this looks like it could go wrong it reminds me of smthg bad but what if this time it's different it wasn't clear love just curiousity OMG I TYPED SO MUCH dont hate on me I'm team no one they are all messed up in their own different ways
