In my eyes what ML did was basically rape, not matter how much FL 'wanted it' beforehand. Even in marriage you need consent every time. He keeps also kissing and leaving marks on her while she is unconcious too. That one isn't even dub-con at that point. It's a pity because the plot seems so interesting, but I just can't root for a rapist x victim couple
I dropped it at ch 45, can't stand the ML. Figured having a miracle redemption arc won't change the fact that he basically raped FL. I wish ppl stopped romanticizing these types of trope
The male lead is so unlikeable. As in I don't like him one bit. He acts so righteous at first, trying to rear in that beastly nature chuchu but then exploits this girl's vulnerability, isolates her, and plans to baby trap her when the contract says that she can run away at any time when she gets scared. I mean she was desperate and they were using each other but moments before they do the salsa, he knew well she wasn't emotionally stable, nor mentally. He quite literally forced himself on her when she wasn't feeling it because she didn't feel safe with him. I mean he IS the commander of an enemy country but his having his way with her like she's some lifeless doll is not it for me. But of course I'll read past this. Maybe he'll redeem himself magically. (I fear his "complexity" gets under my skin so so bad)
He's not even morally gray, he's just hypocrite atp. Maybe he'll redeem himself, maybe he won't.
