Okay I'm trying to keep this spoiler free as possible.
First our new MC is less like Klein and more like Anderson Hood, personality wise. Its also somehow more and less complicated then Book 1. And I can't believe I'm saying this, but more tragic in a sense. We do get a bit of the Tarot Club scattered throughout, they do play a big part in this story. We see a few more familiar antagonistic faces and new ones too.
We do get fantastic new characters as well, some of them are delightful. But if you're looking for Klein, you're only going to see him towards the last 200 or so chapters. And then not very much.
Plot is sometimes interesting, sometimes dragging, you can see the parts that Cuttlefish metaphorically threw up his hands and just said whatever. Overall its solid but tragic, as is all of LoTM.
If you give it a chance our new MC can grow on you, but for a lot of people it does take a while. Also, be prepared, our new MC is French and the setting is in Intis which is basically France. Either have google translate open in a new tab or just ignore it.
And for the love of Mr Fool, do not go on Reddit to look for info, you'll regret it for the rest of your life.
Yeap, also there is debate if we're getting a 3rd book. So reading 2 might be necessary eventually to keep up with continuity.
Good luck.
You're welcome. Also a warning, whereas Klein had a strict moral code, our new MC has none. Which was a big shock for me, personally. I also suggest going on the wiki, eventually, to keep track of the pathways and sequences because it gets even more complicated. Also the keep track of the gods.
If you have any other questions, just reply on this thread.
Good luck and Praise the Fool.

Guys, how is the Sequel? I wanna know the situation and story so I could read it when I'm certain it won't shatter my expectations... Is it good or not comparable to the First Book? I'm more devastated to the Fact that Klein isn't the Protagonist which is mildly understandable.... *secretly crying*
