Well tbf sometimes it works I feel like I not necessarily in this manga, but if the other character is a tsundere and can’t express their feeling well, it gives them a chance to say yes without forcing them to say it aloud, which sometimes feels like it can cheapen it anyway. It’s nice to leave some things unsaid. Obviously we’re talking abt the domain of fiction here … things get more complicated in real life
