Spoiler
Exactly, also many people shame on Sasya saying he was sleeping around, where he did not! This part, of him seeling himself, was a rumor, him being on drugs was true (as he mentioned, rumors were partially true). This guy has ptsd after that sexual assault years ago by that disgusting grand duke, he's terrified in any sexual situation with anyone else (same was with that thief amd later wkth with Gudin), except only with Karel he was okay! It was mentioned that Sasya was only going on dinners and touching with that one sponsor (that old disgusting prick) and damn he forced that oral on Sasya, he never sold himself, he said it himself, so where is he sleeping around came from?!
Like you said, they both have their flaws, and misunderstandings didn't help, but we should not add things to narrative that didn't happen...
Exactly. I feel that some people didn't read with understanding or didn't pay attention. Bcs like you said, those were rumors that even Karel thought were true bcs he happened to see Sasya and that creep. There were a lot of misunderstandings in this story that led to so many of the things that happened.

People who talk bad abt Sasya really must not be able to comprehend complex characters. Sasya is a deeply traumatized individual who has several debilitating mental health illnesses. He's been through a lot and has had zero therapy or any sort of situation where his illnesses are addressed apart from the chapters where he was admitted to the mental institution where the root of his issues were not even addressed. He kept getting worse and worse. Karel chose to be with him. This story is so complicated and requires a deep level of understanding that some of you are missing. It's not abt how this person deserves better than what they gave eachother. You have two individuals who went through the most ND constantly chose eachother bcs they were so in love that there was no other choice. It's abt sacrifice. Ya'll forget that Karel literally took Sasya away and locked him up in a home far from any city life and people. He took him away from the only love he knew which was dance. I too would take the opportunity to go back to dancing if I found out the love of my life died in war. To Sasya, Karel left him. He abandoned him. He through himself back into a life he already knew. He knew what to expect. Was Sasya just to live in that house without Karel? I feel for both of them. I also get upset sometimes when I think about how much Karel has sacrificed and how hurt he has been. Neither of them are perfect. Both of them had to sacrifice so much of themselves and their lives to be together. This story is very beautiful and tragic. It's not abt choosing sides or who was worse to the other. It's abt life and life can be unpredictable and tragic. It's abt how people navigate those tragedies. It's about choice. It's about how love comes with sacrifice and hurt. Not everyone's story is simply made out of pure love and happiness. Some stories are ugly and complicated and unfair.
