1. She doesnt want to marry him and wants to go back to her home country to rule (she even said she wanted to send a letter home so they would not just move on to the next heir). The duration is just to work around the emperor's order issue.
2. She pretty much explained why. Enemy of her parents is her enemy. Even tho the blonde wants peace, he is still the emperor's subbordinate. Sure, he is not acting by his order for that particilar instance, but politically, she is not incorrect either. And it wasnt needed to say she views the emperor as her enemy. Empress.... she probably also falls in that category (enemy of my parents), but because she has some power as empress, is more on the morally good side and could survive the batshit crazy husband, she tried to work around her even tho she is an enemy, just like how because ml is pretty reasonable, she is trying to work with him even tho he is enemy to her.

Anyone else confused why divorce is being brought up? In this situation wouldn’t it make more sense to get closer to each other to survive the crazy emperor instead of talking about divorcing while barely having a relationship with any foundation. Also it’s confusing why she sees blondie as the enemy when he wanted to surrender, and he didn’t want the war or actually do anything to her. I get it that he’s clueless, dull and hard to read whatever but still by that logic the empress AND the emperor should be her enemies since they caused the war in the first place and their current predicament. He clearly doesn’t hate her, just neutral and she gets annoyed with him so easily so it’s so confusing.
