You can start reading a story for some reasons, starts disliking the ml and keep reading for other reasons, thats how it works why y'all pressed seeing comments in the comments section
Cause most ppl complaining have the audacity to harass the author to the point they don’t want to interact with fans at all anymore
All the negativity is coming from western/english fans and this isn’t even the first time this has happened if this keeps up the entire BL market in English could be wiped out, authors and publishers won’t want anything to do with English readers which means less things for BL readers to enjoy
We’ll still read bl of course but merch and event opportunities will completely evaporate
Didn't know about the readers harassing the author but i don't think they'll ever wipe out the BL market in English cuz it's a BIG part of their revenue it's making them a lot of money, even if people are complaining it wouldn't make sense to just stop
Maybe not for Korean bl but Japanese companies can be very fickle when it comes to exporting their IP’s both Korean and Japanese companies have shown how little they think of consumers overseas unfortunately a lot of it is because of xenophobia
I think we are a long ways from getting to that point but i do see it becoming a possibility if harassment continues
