Her backstory is carefully explained (and wonderfully delievered in the story)
Usually i get annoyed with characters like her- but her backstory was sooo wonderfully put that you cant help but say that she has EVERY REASON to act like villainess- one very important detail is the concept of fear- shes only acting the way she is because shes taught at young age that she needs to act in a certain way to get treated with respect(thats the only way she can survive in the palace) We saw a glimpse about how many times she asked for help from her mother who ignored and neglected her(she was conditioned that she cannot rely on her mom, because her mom will never help her- she needs to do what she can if she wants to survive instead of crying like a weakling) Her back story also showed how the fl is not originally bratty, but her circumstances and environment turned her into what she is right now- in fact her backstory even hinted that shes in fact kind and meek
