Story is *alright* so far. If you’re planning on reading this story, I’d recommend letting it marinate until it’s finish because it is an irritating pace:
The plot twist was nice, but the whole situation with the baron being kind to her so she would agree to sacrifice herself was so upsetting… even the knight being so rude and aggressive all the time was disgusting; especially when she had just come from a whole family who treated her with that attitude. It’s not only the side characters who are the problem, I fear the fl is a weak mc in general. Not just power-wise, etc. but her demeanor in general. I know at the end of the day she’s a female lead with a low status, but it would be nice if she had a little bit more control/confidence in the situations that she’s placed in. It’s been a while since I’ve read a story where the fl cries x amount of times—not a bad thing (fyi)—it just gets repetitive & a bit corny. The ml seems to dig it tho. I can’t complain abt the ml, maybe it’s bias, but he’s actually been a decent character. There’s been development, but it still feels like the relationship between the two is more platonic than romantic; this is why I’d recommend marinating. I’m assuming it’s a slow burn, which isn’t a horrible thing, but when you mix it with an infuriating plot and zero honey—it gets boring.
