Yeah but actually amon remains as himself to the very end of the novel as dragons nature doens't change and they don't have human empathy so even other people haven't been their yes to some level this whole stressful thing haven't been here in the first place for nain but due to the nature of dragon it will would have been less affectionate
Sigh... Whenever i reread about their happier moments, I get bittersweet about what could've been. Amon and Nain's relationship would've been completely fine if other people didn't get involved. Their current situation is the result of years of misinformation, ignorance and intentional harmful misguidance.
