the plot itself is really fun and the manga is also ongoing, but the anime adaptation is basically porn with various chunks of plot (also mentioning the live adaptation that’s very new and coming if it’s not already out last I checked? forgive me if it isn’t)

to summarize, it’s about an mc who’s a narc who’s seeking out love but cannot find it no matter where he looks and thinks of himself as high above everyone at his own work while also being admired by his same coworkers

however, he meets ml (one of his co workers) and they start sleeping together and despite mc unfairly judging the fuck out of ml in terms of ml’s own looks and personality, he slowly starts to fall for him ‘despite’ ml making him promise to not fall for him alongside the mc denying to himself that he’s falling ‘hard’ for ml

I have a few more much lighter recommendations, but that first one I really enjoy plot wise since the anime obviously didn’t cover everything (such as the mc’s own family backstory with how short each episode is)

i just finished reading it! the ending felt like the same as Given to me...like I'm not sad, I'm actually happy they got together but i still felt empty. the ending was very realistic and bittersweet i would say and it was really good portraying young love.

I love this one because it goes from surprisingly good porn to a genuinely sweet love story to a healthy mixture of both seeing as how the story’s still ongoing

to summarize, mc works in an office where he’s openly admired by his co workers and seen as ideal and perfect while at the same time his co workers have no idea he’s putting up a front and is a narc

(I mean, he’s a judgmental asshole at first and rates his own hookups and people)

mc cannot find genuine love despite being on dating apps, hooking up, etc

atleast until he’s introduced to the ml who’s his polar opposite and the two go on a work trip together that results in them sleeping together and making a deal that if mc doesn’t fall for him they’ll keep sleeping together

yes there’s an anime adaptation of 8 short episodes but you don’t really need to watch it since it’s just the first minor half of the manga adapted with the sex scenes included (uncensored is the best version by far obviously)

there’s also the live action adaptation, I’m not sure if it’s out yet though since it was only recently announced

I’m also gonna conclude with mentioning occult romantic comedy, it’s also really good
