I think that was just due to how short the story was, if this was a 60+ chapter story it definitely would have shown more of his reflection and regret. I found I appreciated his decision at the end though, even if it would have been nice to watch him wrestle with it and actually decide on it :3

I sat and stared at the panel for a moment, looked away, looked back at it, almost closed my phone, and then kept scrolling with a look of idek how to describe that— Yet another reason I wish this story was longer because that was so glossed over?? Broo I was soo sad that happened to Jahid . I mean why does every good manhwa need to have such SA crap. But I am glad people noticed this part. I bet Jahid has done something to those MFs. I mean that's true even if it's in my head.
I really don't fw Sieric that much, his lack of compassion for the innocent people he killed and lives he probably indirectly impacted..
