He's a kid but it's the only reason I have even the finest of sympathy. I wanted him to be forced to watch the second prince absolutely savagely beat the princess half to death knowing that the reason the princess is suffering is entirely his fault. Not because he's physically weak, but because he's a coward. Someone should kick him in the balls a few times to remind him that he has them. (And then Rachel can grab the second Prince and throw him down a latrine)
Now, this is an irrational anger, but two things I hate are someone who can help choosing to wallow in their emotions instead, and powerful people (princehood) choosing not to use their power against evil because they are too weak or naive.
no fr tho, i get what you mean. like you said, he’s a coward. he keeps clinging to his title, but it’s honestly empty because he refuses to take any initiative to actually change his situation. that’s where most of the frustration comes from.
he knows his standing is weak and just accepts it, like he’s chosen to wallow in his own misery instead of trying to grow out of it. then when someone finally helps him have a voice, he suddenly imposes his position on weaker people. it’s like… lol. talk about ungrateful. it completely contradicts his own acknowledgement that he’s powerless.
even if he’s a weak prince, he still has the right and the position to do something. we’ve seen it so many times in other manhwas. illegitimate or weaker princes still manage to rise because they [choose] to act. he just… doesn’t.
what makes it worse is that it had to come at the expense of other people. his sister, who did nothing wrong, had to suffer, and rachel had to step in again to fix things for him. it really just shows how his privilege is there, but he refuses to use it properly or responsibly.
so it’s about time for him to actually do something, because the effects on people around him will be worse than what happened this chapter
RIGHT, i honestly thought a day would come where he'd ass up but NO, he just continues being a cocky coward prince. atp i hate him, i HATE people who can do this and that to people below them yet can't do SHIT to the person that literally has the same title as him. even if a time comes where he'll stand up for himself n lia, im not gonna forget the hatred i feel for him. idgaf if he's a kid at all.
Right. He is a kid. He is a prince. Both of these things are true. And most of those contradictions can't be resolved they just have to be lived with. That means all the privileges and responsibilities of both.
Ironically (maybe) if he grows a pair that makes him the best king. Aristocratic monarchy is basically the only system that lets someone who doesn't want power to have it because it isn't up to him or anyone else. But he has to rise to the occasion.

first of all, the other prince is basically a psychopath in the making. seriously, what is wrong with him? who in their right mind would do that to a child? it’s clear he wasn’t raised properly.
second, regarding the blonde prince, i do feel bad for what he and his sister went through, but at the same time, he brought it on himself. he knowingly did something he wasn’t supposed to do, all because he felt offended. he couldn’t handle being called out for his inability to protect either his sister or himself.
before this, rachel had always been the one protecting him, and he got used to that. then the moment he was given even a small chance to assert his authority, knowing the substitute would listen to him, he used it to act recklessly and leave with his sister. and once again, rachel had to come back and save him. now he’s left crying over the consequences of his own actions.
that said, i don’t completely hate his character for it. he’s a child lol. he CAN change. in fact, i’m glad he was finally taught a lesson (fortunately, nothing too severe happened to him or his sister). arrogance is what holds people back from growing, and acknowledging your own weakness is the first step toward becoming better.
