Like huh??? I guess the author just decided to make him a sexual predator as well for lying to someone just to get them to sleep with you. This story was relatable and cute at first with his crush but MC doing that just to sleep with a man who’s literally disgusted with him is crazy….
And you didn't even bring up the inconsistency of his injury, which was so bad he can apparently hardly walk in chapter 1 or 2 but then it's as if he never had an injury after that. Seemed to be running and fighting with it just fine.
You're right tho, this is a trauma Olympics and the trauma is just treated as a plot point. There probably won't be any after effects from any of it either. The only manwha I have ever read that shows realistic reactions to rape is Ouroboros.
(I read till chapter 16) I personally don't like this manhwa at all and let me tell you why:
I just hate authors who make their mc so fking negative, pethatic, self loathing and self destructive and basically every bad trait under the sun this is not the Olympics of who can have the mc with the most negative traits on top of that he's also stalker-ish
and not to mention the rape scene where he had to say "you want to join" to the top and THEN HE GENUINELY THOUGHHHHTTTTT THAT THE CENIMA PLANS ARE STILL IN PLACE???? AFTER SAYING "the more the merrier" ARE YOU FUCKIMG SRS???? ( obviously I know he didn't mean it but the purpose of that scene where he goes to the cenima and waits and goes back home is for the auther to further torture him where we all normal human beings would deduct ain't no way those plans are still in place)
Like that was so unrealistic but I do get there are ppl like him and I related to his maladaptive daydreaming along with other things but this kind of manhwa will only get worse and worse bcs it relies on the shock factor and the visceral reaction of him always being in the worst situations possible like the rape scene for example was genuinely horrible and it didn't need to be their but it's that type of manhwa like i said
Also the expired bento incident which I think you could've ate it in the back bcs we already know the owner loves to micro monitor the cameras and somehow the top is always there to see him at his worst which I hate
AND ALSO SOMEHOW THIS IS THE ONLY CONVENIENCE STORE THAT WILL HIRE HIM EVER like you can quit bro.... like no one is holding him back exept himself which i get he doesn't think he deserves a better working enviroment or wtv whech circles back to my first point
he can find a convenience store job in the same second of him quitting idk if you've read the whole thing obviously you can like wtv you like and usually I turn my brain off with stories like this but idk I just couldn't with this one and generally I don't like stories like this anw but yeah also one more thing if I sounded victim blamey trust me I'm not that type of person I'm just tired of these types of stories that rely on excessive trauma done to the character for shock value and not treating what they actually went through with care and nuance
