i should have assumed from the title "copycat" that there would be some copying of behavior involved but the mc reminds me of sasaeng fans in korea... his actions are borderline creepy and weird. he even knows it's bad but doesn't stop? what the helly? it's a good thing he's a "cute copycat" so he can get away with this type of behavior but if he weren't as "cute", idk if the seme would have fallen for him at all
altho, i do occasionally like my ukes/semes to be crazy and weird and obsessive but only when the characters fully embrace it. this mc is a poorly executed version, pretending that he's not doing anything wrong with thoughts like "this is probably ok right?"
aside from the unrelatable mc, idk if it's the fan translation or the author herself but the flow of the plot is not it either :/ how the story presents mc's trauma (his relationship with his dad, bullying, trying to kill himself, his unrequited love for his childhood lesbian friend) was done poorly. his hardships are used as a plot device and flashbacks are shown whenever convenient to explain the mc's personality but maybe if it was highlighted a bit better and if the panels weren't so messed up, i would have actually liked the mc a little more
