Jaeon’s mother really is sick. She’s the reason he keeps striving. And Inha is his comfort and his hope. The misunderstandings will be cleared up later.
I honestly don’t understand why there are so many “second embarrassment” comments. Maybe those people only dream about perfect, unrealistic characters, so they can’t accept someone who is normal and real.
In my view, Jaeon is someone pure and strong, who doesn’t give in to fate. He’s faced challenges that any adult could encounter, things that could easily push someone into despair, depression, or even harmful revenge. But Jaeon didn’t go that way. Instead of drowning in pain, he stood up on his own, without anyone’s help. Even with poor health, he works hard, supporting himself and his sick mother. When he makes mistakes, he admits them with no excuses, no hatred toward his harsh boss. When Inha misunderstands him, Jaeon doesn’t blame him, because he knows it was his own choice. He’s clearly a kind, sincere, and self-respecting person. The only time he lowered his pride was when he held on to Inha’s hand, begging for his acceptance. Looking at Jaeon, I’m reminded of the innocent and silly things I once did when I had my first crush.
I really don’t get how someone with such good character ends up being painted as terrible in the comments. I was almost losing hope of finding a wise readers after seeing someone call Jaeon a “stalker.” ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
Your comment is exactly how I feel about him but way better put into words. He is a bit pathetic at times and clumsy, but he’s not a bad character, just a realistic one that doesn’t have a perfect answer for everything. I added my comment because other comments putting him down upset me so I am really happy that you feel the same way!
Dude I'm gonna hold your hand when I say this, the male lead is weird af. He's creeping on a guy that is two year younger than him that occasionally shows up at his job. He spends all his time stalking him on social media, using that information to get closer to him like a creep. Not only that he looking up ways mimic an omega heat to get the guy to sleep with him, thats alot for someone youve had casual conversations with over a short period of time. Home even showed up at his school!?!?! This story feels like the joker, we're just watching the mental collapse of a very mentally ill young man who is suffering from poverty, ptsd, and abuse. It's rough, and hard to watch. So I too get the second hand embarrassment

And sympathise with him. He’s so real for the dumb shit he is doing. He knows he doesn’t have a chance so he’s doing everything he can to achieve his goal thinking he’ll just move on afterwards. He’s like a stupid teenager in love and I really like how consistently awkward he is. It is embarrassing but he clearly doesn’t have good role models and is struggling in life. I also won’t believe that his mother is actually sick until I see her being sick. I might be too deep into the „poor bottom” vibe, but I am starting to think she is milking him for money and he is too naive to realise. Also I wonder if the top will ever find out he pretended to be a slut while being gang r*aped just so they wouldn’t attack him.
In short, he really is a bit slow and pathetic but he is consistent in his behaviour, I don’t even feel the second hand embarrassment for him, I just straight up pity him and wish him a happy ending cause he doesn’t seem to have anyone in life who could help him see what he is doing wrong.
