I mean whether they are mythological characters is entirely up to your beliefs, either way they are not gods in the religious text they’re based on.
im from a mostly catholic country (poland) & many ppl genuinely believe in archangel michael there (him and gabriel are the most popular angels i think), there are prayers to him etc

Can I please ask where can I read their stories? Sorry for being rude. I only thought of Greek mythology because of the cape. But surely it's different from zeus characters. Which mythology are they from? Or region?
Oh well you could start with any version of the bible. I think angels are mentioned in all of them, although because they aren’t the main focus perhaps researching specifically for angels in abrahamic religions would be more useful for you. There should be plenty of sources online

For the angels, theres like yt animations that focuses about the angels and how theyre mentioned in the bible. Its VERY detailed its called “every angel in the bible drawn and explained” by bible animations. Its so visually pleasing to watch and i learned a lot: lucifer, michael and other angels. As for the “ra sun god” thats mentioned its actually an egyptian mythology
