It's also insane how people (mostly westerners) think of everything as incest. Adopted family, sworn brothers, even childhood friends that lived together making them close as sibling, etc meanwhile in asia a lot of people only consider blood-related relationship as incest. Even in some religion and culture, it's only incest when you have direct blood-relation and therefore you're allowed to marry your adopted family, or even your cousin.
Oh hello neighbor!!! (Indonesian here lol) yeah it's also the same here, it's not prohibited to marry your cousin (I don't remember which degree tho). I also mentioned westerner bcs they're the only one who keep yapping about incest this incest that everytime they saw it in asian series, it's truly annoying. If they call something as mild as this as incest, then I'm sure they would be foaming in their mouth when they read about the local myths here lmao or even greek myths which full of problematic things
I'm reading the comments and I find the perspective interesting. Here in the West, we're very sensitive about relationships for many reasons. First of all, because we separate filial love from agape and eros. There's a clear psychological distinction between those we consider family and those we consider romantic interests. Furthermore, cases of incest were very common, especially among the nobility, from the Middle Ages to the 19th century, leaving behind a trail of malformations and trauma. Finally, most of us are Christian, and as I said, the concept of filial love is separated for us
In the case of this series, it's established that the protagonist sees the children as his own, even though and he is older than they. From our perspective, it's as if a father is being forced to see his children as something more, regardless of whether they are blood relatives or not; they are still his children in his perspective and they naive in that sense.
in my opinion. I don't think Christian should even be reading manhwa or any other person who gets sensitive easily about certain things. that's just says they gonna have a long road ahead them. and the fact the MC was also a kid (15 years old) adopting/sponsoring kids was point out in the comment section. so idk. in all honestly western people are a bit to sensitive, I only meet 5% chilled western people who actually enjoy the story instead of pointing out everything. before his reincarnation he probably is older but in this timeline he should be about 17 meaning close to one of the other kids ages. so that would make him a young godfather

I just Realized they aren't adopted by paper nor did he adopt them he just threw them in the orphanage and called it the day. someone said "You OK with incest" I was like wait a min he didn't even adopt them they just call him Godfather and he goes along with it. Honestly when you read a story made by Korea or Japan ya get use to romance sometimes its there sometimes its not. I kinda got used to it. so I don't get offended by whats in a story now I'm kinda interested how he gonna prove himself fucking cliff hanger
