This is also just a random pet peeve of mine but the lack of female demons (or any female characters whatsoever) is kind of off-putting. If we can have a dude with female tits, we can have female demons. I get that this is yaoi but that doesn't mean every character needs to be male, especially if they aren't getting any
I could definitely see that. This is my second time reading and fully immersing myself with everything that was going on but from what i can tell is that over time he realized that the things he was so scared of doing in the real world weren’t so bad compared to the demon world. he is still a relatively nice demon considering he set d-san free but becoming a demon was just a gateway for him to do what he truly desired. Considering demons can’t die from mortal wounds.
I might be too empathetic to fully enjoy this tbh. I liked the MC in the beginning, but not so much now. When he was still human (or maybe when he'd recently turned), he wanted to see his partner's suffering but didn't want to leave them with painful memories, making him feel conflicted. His current self has lost the initial appeal. I like sadists who torture their victims out of a twisted sort of devotion while feeling pained and/or turned on by it, but people who are just fully indifferent to the suffering of those "beneath" them are just meh
