The people in the comment section lack empathy so much... it hurts me so much to think people have no understanding of how trauma shapes up a person's whole life... Talia is always on survival mode , she trust no one and is always trying to protect herself. Also how she might be 19 but her inner self feels like that traumatized 9 year old child and she is actually really mischievous and playful and kind and compassionate and only Varkas knows that side of her.
Yeah, as people go trough traumatic events they build uo defense mechanisms. Mostly bad ones. And her attitude is her way of protecting herself and thats what her parents teach her. At 9 she had to be her own protectore, at 9 she alrdy know no one will save her. Honestly shes quite strong as a character. Flawed yes but strong. I like how they are making more diverse main characters this days not those goody two shoes girl that are just scream that yeah this is a fantasy world. And also i like varkas however her hurt way to much, must be because of misunderstanding aswell. But i just want my girl to have a happy ending, with varkas, or whoever as long as she heals
I love the author of this. This character is based on a real study of psychology. Everyone who thinks she is making herself pathetic. Shes not. She is acting as someone who is in defense mode but still hoping. She is a suicidal and sad girl who went trough a lot. And people who went trough what she went trough in real life would act almost entirely the same way. But still girl just leave pls, u deserve so much better.
