Tbh I think it fits the character well. Be so fr he's been begging to be sacrificed from the beginning. Don't you think this makes sense for someone raised to be a sacrifice to a religious figure, who genuinely loves that figure? It was kind of obvious the story would touch on this kind of thing with the established character of an older mugo

It's ok to like older humans than you, but to get aroused of being #infantilized!!# looks wrong and disturbing in every possible way

There are quite a few disturbing things present
But mc claiming that he likes to be called a child by the old geezer mugo is the most unnecessary disturbing thing mentioned in here so far
