He manipulates her to a certain extent but Lee Yeon also sort of consented to it. It's a struggle between fear and wanting his warmth.
Never said I expect him to be anything, it makes sense that he's confused and spinning.
What I'm saying is: THIS is the moment we're getting them together like that? With THESE emotions? With THIS kind of unfinished conversation and hurt?
It's a story - the author is in full control of what's happening. Weird choice to pick circumstances and mood like these and expect us feel excited about it.
