I'm sorry? It wasn't that I was necessarily shipping children or anything weird?? What I meant is eventually mori will grow up as every human does and couldn't help but think about ryder, miria and the others. I Kept thinking of that one chapter how much miria was suffering in regards to the day when mori finally leaves her cause humans don't live as much as the aliens do. Granted death and grief are also part of the cycle of life and it a way that's what makes every moment so precious. It was The idea that one day even when mori himself is no longer there for her, she'll still won't feel as broken by his absence because she'll have the love, family and memories he left her behind even if he's not there himself. The previous concept of "Mom" now get to live on as maybe "Grandma"/"Grandmother" or who knows maybe it can still be "Mom" it can be whatever feels right in their hearts.
okay so imagine for the true final ending of this story... mori grows up and ends up with that girl lily...they have a kid (or more ) so now mori's moms also get to become GRANDMAS!!! AND and and now even if mori passes away in a distant future, his bloodline still continues to be miria's and ryder's and everyone else's family like
