Luso, as crazy as it is for our mindsets and morals, didn't rape Shag. It's the world setting that everyone, with no exception, has to have sex to give / take energy from the other.

Shag was on dead door and he wouldn't lived if Luso didn't save him.

Obviously for us it's rape but in that world it's energy exchange. It's the world setting and literally every character by our law and standards commit rape every other day to keep each other alive.

Crazy setting.

Although I'm annoyed about the tragic life of the people on that planet I'm even more annoyed about the fact Shag magic was sealed fully.

He was the hero and at some point people started blaming him for being born so powerful he managed to save the kingdom from loosing half its population and for the wrong doings of people who receive his energy.

Like where is the logic? I understand Shag knowing he give so much energy should have checked who his partners are, to make sure he wasn't giving it to criminals. But to go so far as to blame him for what the criminals did and wish him dead? That's too much. Especially when he is the only reason you're still alive and live a peaceful enough life for you to badmouth people while drinking beer with friends in a tavern...

Obviously even if Shah's magic wasn't sealed he would still need sexual partners, pretty much like now with the exception he could do magic too and that would simply make him happy. But again it's the world setting and the author's idea of what to portray the sex as.

Overall looking at Shag's life one can say he was being raped by literally both "love interests"... we could even add the dragon to the bag. Seriously tragic. I wouldn't want to live in a world like that. Even more if I were so powerful as Shag and need companions often.

Creepy, sad and tragic af....

They don't have to have sex to transfer energy. It's probably like guiding in guidverse. You can transfer energy through touch and bodily fluids. Sex is just the fastest way because it combines both touching and bodily fluids. But we've seen that you can exchange energy passivly through touch (by sleeping while touching) and activly through kissing, hugging, having sex.

Sadly such gentleness doesn't apply to Shag as he is way too powerful for simple touches. It was even explained in the story sex is the most efficient not just the fastest.

Shag could easily give his energy the gentle way if he were like most people but he isn't, so only sex is what let's him survive.

Again it's the world setting the author made and obviously the lots of us finds problems in it and is dissatisfied with the way everyone treats Shag but the story is done, finished and as readers we can only imagine a better version or ending.

In chapter 2 he shared a significant amount of energy with Fik through just touch and kissing. He doesn't have to have sex with Fio it's just the most convinenient.

Same with anyone else. Problem is the amount of energy s person can recive and that can regenerate. Fio takes almost a year to fully regenerate his max capacity (which is the same capacity as Shagar). They are just polar oppsoites. While Fio can have a lot of energy, he can't regenerate it, while Shagar can not only hold a lot of energy, he regenerates it in surplus.

If Shagar tries to share energy with any normal person through missing and touching, it won't be as effective as with Fio because they can't take as much, so it requires greater effort for the energy to get absorbed. With Fio (and in much much smaller regard Luso) , he can Kiss, hug and touch to transfer energy, because they can take up way more, so they body and absorb it faster.

For any other normal person, if they simply have smaller amount of energy, because they have normal regeneration rate they actually don't need to use sex to get it. All the people Fio had sex with, probably didn't even need to get the energy, they just wanted it so they can use magic in everyday life. Shagar says in chapter 1 or 2, that magic is something used everyday. There is almost no one who can't use magic (that's why Fio is such a rate case). He remarks that in history books, it speak of time where people could hardly use magic, but that today, that is unheard of. Even poor people can use magic. Literally anyone can, it's core part of their lives. They don't even need medicine they just use healing magic. So it's probable that Fio's friends didn't even need energy, they just wanted to do they could use magic, because it's so ingrained in their way of life. They can't imagine a life where they do stuff themselves. Heck Shagar even mentions that people use magic to grow plants. So they probably don't know how to live without using magic.

You can argue that the first time they met, it was necessary... Although Luso assumed Shagar would rather have sex against his will than die. But after Shagar had given all his magical energy to Fio and Luso carried him off to the tree? That was straight-up rape.

for me, when the world setting is built like this, it really is just because they want sex (well, its yaoi, infamous for it). sex there, sex here and then sex with whoever which would make the two point of view for me to be valid. but imo, it's disappointing for me like why does it have to be that way LOL

Humanity always does that. They did the same for the inventor that decoded the WW2 German transmissions of Enigma. They castrated him chemically and so he died in horrible pain after saving many people's live. The rich and powerful, the greedy humanity never actually protect their saviors. They become jealous.
