I have a feeling that Merize is (highly likely) the author of Hatsukoi memory, as seen in the latest chapter where she thought of Henry as her first love; hence, when she wrote the manga, her mind subconsciously thought of her first love and the characters (Rin, Takeru) were counterpart of themselves. Even manga’s name seems like a nod to her experience, perhaps she felt she had memories of First love from the back of her mind but just can’t recall. Note how Rin in her manga is clumsy, like her and how charming Takeru is, probably reflection of how she saw Henry as her Prince Charming. If this is true, then I must applaud for authors ability to foreshadow in the few first chapters. Or this might just be me imagining things too much due to reading too many manga/manhwa.
