tbh the knight deserves it for what he did. hes sucking up to the 2nd prince to the point that he's WILLING to harm a CHILD.. and he was also js a bystander when that bitch of a child almost killed someone so iʼd say fair enough. id prefer if the 2nd prince was punished also though but oh well i guess a prince is a prince

Well let me give you a friendly reminder of the previous chapters: the blond prince did the same towards the maid (who was going to bake cookies).. he used his authority and power to command her to leave she couldn't refuse sooooooo blond prince isn't in any position to say he doesnt do the same (immagine if they were to actually be lost and hurt?) Then it would be off with her head regardlessif she was just following orders. NOW yes he doesnt harm people by ordering them but he does put his employees on tough position that they must suck up to them .. example the princess makes the maids play horse and try to make them do 4 rounds vs the maids having the right to refuse and say its hard on them .. but you see they can they must listen to her whims even if she is just a child.

Lets not forget the 2nd prince is on a favorable position for beinf elected as crown prince that even the 3rd prince knows he can f** up if he couldnt retaliate what makes you think the knight could? I am simply seeing the position of the NPc

A rotten prince he may serve, he still lhas the choice to voice out or atleast say a little something since he's the Prince's Knight. He ignored everything, from the time that prince tied up the princess to the time the prince tried to hurt her. Plus he willingly shoved the 3rd prince and disrespected him out right, bathing in the graces of that rotten prince. He deserved it.

Again he cant .. if the 3rd prince doesnt even report it then he cant .. it wasnt until the nanny showed up that he could somewhat defend himself .. at some point even the head maid didnt give 2 flying fucks soo I am right on this one

Yeah, you got a point there. His attitude toward the 3rd prince still sucks though, so atleast he deserve some lighter punishment. ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Don't feel bad for a man who's first instinct when his ego gets bruised is to raise a weapon against an unarmed woman and child, when not explicitly commanded to do so. And that's just what he's doing while being watched by multiple people in vroad daylight. You need to start working on your pattern recognition.

He is a fictional character but corruption exist because it's done and seen as normal where he works her will automatically think it's normal to react this way

just because corruption in the story exists and is “normalized” (which shouldn't be) doesn't mean they have to participate in it. in the end, it was still his choice even if the circumstances forced him into it. no matter the reason, he was wrong for what he did

    elven May 14, 2026 1:34 pm

i get what you're saying that the knight is technically somehow a victim of the system he's in but that doesn't mean he shouldn't be held accountable for what he did. what he did was wrong and nothing could make that right

Forget about what has been normalized for a second. The knight, before the nanny arrived, is the only adult in the room. He is also of a lower rank than the prince and should be keenly aware of what he can be punished for and how easily he can be stripped of his rank when he misbehaves with someone who out ranks him. He is fully aware that the other kid is a prince, so it is understandable to an extent that he stay out of it when the two princes are butting heads. But if he's not a hot tempered violent idiot, he would not be quick to harm someone who out ranks him when there are witnesses. He shouldn't even have thought to use a sword on an un armed maid with a prince in her arms. The prince didn't command him to do exactly that, so it was all his discretion.
What is normalized is not an excuse for an adult who should no what his responsibilities are, and what basic human decency demands especially when explicit orders aren't given.

Following orders is one thing, he didnt have to be rude towards the prince and push him away. That was entirely his own decision. He could have just ignored him and proceed to go cut the Nanny's hand off. Even if he is loyally following orders so that he isn't killed by the prince he serves he can still decide to not go overboard and be rude/cruel outside of his given order. It just showed his character. I saw enough corrupt knights who like to be cruel to know one. ( ̄へ ̄)

"It ain't that deep" when I'm literally just replying to what you're mentioning and literally explain how things aren't black and white. But if you want to think that only one thing can exist at a time, go ahead. Ignorance is bliss.
