monster attacks happen during the pilgrimage, fl gets injured VERY badly, she lays next to the corpse of the monster for a whole night while expecting the fuckass blue eye dude to show up but he gets there much later (the way this was written made me actually tear up no joke) and her left leg is completely crushed under a boulder, (explained very gruesomely in the novel).
she goes through absolute hell as they are forced to go back to the palace, essentially becoming addicted to sedative incense, faces even further ridicule and mental battles, is forced to actually marry the blue eyed dude despite being let down by him again and again and having recently found the strength to tear out her feelings for him, all the while he remains indifferent and cold to her - at least in her eyes.
honestly she's put through the ringer again and again. i felt so bad reading her shrink into herself bit by bit. truly devastating so far, but i think the manhwa will probably skip the gruesome parts and some details. though i WILL say that the novel actually slaps so hard, it was deliciously painful
So no happy ending?
