This is a story you need to have patience for. You need to pull through the first 15 to 20 chapters to finally get hooked. It’s a good complex plot. But I agree the first chapters felt like a drag because Jiha felt like the typical pushover who cannot live alone and would hold onto anything just to feel a bit of human warmth. That kind of trope is annoying and pathetic in itself. That’s why you need to pull through. Because the background history and his past life is what puts everything together. After chapter 25 or so, I couldn’t stop reading because it really picks up once you can put all the pieces together. Sure, Jiha is the typical noble bottom who can feel a bit stuck up and pretentious to some. But I still managed to find him less irritating as the story went on. Although the rape seemed unnecessary but expected at bc this point. Song is someone with more power than Jiha in the human realm. So Jiha trying to “protect” Song feels ridiculous and far fetched. He KNEW he was gonna get raped if he met that asshole. He KNEW. Yet he went anyway bc what? He thought he could “save” and “protect” him? That could have made a little sense if he had Kalli’s memories. But he still remains the human Jiha. So, being willing to get raped for some made up savior complex when he was more helpless than trusting Song, threw me off. I hope this continues to get updated bc I’m reluctant to actually paying for the chapters. I like the story, but I’m not in love with it.
