So princess and the barrier gang went to the field to 'test' how effective the barriers they created right?
But what happened should be one of tarkan's general (jacq) and men were running away from a swarm of beast enclosing them (this time tarkan split from them). They were running towards their base to ask for reinforcement since their comms stone stopped working. And surprise, surprise, ritlen (blacksmith) popped up behind the barrier, and the mage raining down some fireballs to help the warriors get behind the barrier.
While all this is happening, they found out that it was princess idea to go there and help using the barriers. The general (jacq) was dumfounded, like wuttt? the princess?? And then the barrier group explained and reported to the princess (that was supposed to be behind the tent) that the barrier worked, but no reply from the princess. And then they figured out she's gone and they panic and search. But she gone babe. Went str8 to hubby to help

Woah. I feel like this would have been better to follow. I like the thought of the princess just not saying anything and running towards Tarkan. But I'm also curious to see what changes the manhwa adaptation will do.

Well, that's you. But sometimes, a small deviation in the story or details makes a big impact how a reader takes in the whole picture in manga vs novel.
That's not how it went in the novel. But oh well, let's wait for the next couple of chapters
