Meanwhile, the top could never bc that would be red flag behavior. Mm understandable but let's not forget sanada was his first ever friend and let's be frank he has attachment issue from all stuff from past ,I see it that he treasures people alot and man let's not forget Riku knows him all well n as a reader we know mc loves Riku real bad.unless riku started having issues n sanada acts out, I think this is realistically beautiful
Mc should be doing better fr... Staying friends with a guy who he knows likes him romantically is lowkenuinely just selfish on his part. Little to no consideration on how the friendship will affect his boyfriend while also not letting the friend to get over him properly because the proximity will not help make feelings fade away... also a chance that sanada could perceive this like he still has a chance (no matter how little) since mc is not fully pushing him away
