i’m only on chapter 59 so i might eat my words up later but holy fucking hell i HATEE the male lead. this mf has the personality of a wet blanket. his only two character traits are that he’s pretty and an idiot that’s good with the sword, so far the story would flow the exact same way if he wasn’t a character, she didn’t NEEED arron exactly to break off the engagement, she’s smart so i’m sure she would find a way without him, other than that he has contributed nothing but making the female lead look like a fool, she has a 180 shift in her personality as soon as he pulls up cuz “omg he’s so pretty i’m gonna blush like a fool” she can be in the middle of girbossing but nooo as soon as him and his mid ass pull up she’s all blushing no brains. he’s just so bland it hurts, every time he shows up it is so frustrating, why is she not angry about how he HUMILIATED HER so bad?? like after the time skip i wanted her soooo bad to be like “you humiliated and embarrassed me” but instead she’s just like “nah i never liked you lol” be so so fr with me right now girl. he is actually so mid that the male lead from “kill the villainess” looks like an amazing love interest with a deep story compared to pretty boy and that’s saying something. this just pisses me OFFF why did they just have to write up the most stupid and incompetent (in everything besides swordplay ig) male lead ever. only thing he’ll be good for at this rate is gonna be passing down his pretty boy genes
