The story ends at chapter 63..... My opinion is that it was boring and very average... The ML is a jerk who later regrets his actions, while the MC is timid, indecisive, and stays silent until the end.
What I found strange is the introduction of the blonde character as the 2ML, and how his personality was changed compared to the original novel...
From the beginning, it feels unnatural that he falls for the MC after less than a month, just after noticing his suicidal signs, as if his feelings came out of nowhere.
In the original novel, he was a friend of the MC who had some feelings for him but never confessed because he knew the MC liked someone else. They remained friends Here, however, his role becomes much more pushy and uncomfortable....
In one scene, after drinking and staying at the his house , he doesn't try to kiss mc and even sleeps separately. But here, he is portrayed as someone who tries to kiss a sleeping person, which feels creepy..
Later, when they meet at the ML’s brother’s studio, he complains that the MC never replies or calls him, and another character even says he seems obsessed. After drinking, he tells the MC he feels different about him, says he will try something, and kisses him without consent. The MC pushes him away and tells him to stop, but he tries again. The ML sees this and leaves, while the MC is left shocked. In the original, this was only a simple hug.....
A few days later, they meet again. He says he normally doesn’t act like that when drinking. The MC feels uncomfortable and tells him he will pretend nothing happened. However, he continues and says he usually doesn’t pursue someone who rejects him, but he doesn’t want to pretend anymore and wants to date the MC, of course the MC rejects him... In the novel, this was only a phone call, and he never confessed because he respected the MC’s discomfort.
There is also a scene where they meet in a store. The MC gives him an umbrella... He apologizes, but again behaves strangely, asking if the MC likes the ML, saying he is better than him, and admitting he was trying to change himself to be liked, but it doesn’t work. The MC apologizes. He then asks for a hug just for that day, saying they can go back to being friends tomorrow, despite knowing that the MC is uncomfortable. ..
In the original novel, he simply wished the MC well.
Let’s forget about the ML—he is completely a jerk, with no discussion...
But what I disliked most is how someone the MC only knew for a month suddenly inserts himself into his life and becomes overly persistent. It feels unnecessary and annoying....
His personality change from a supportive friend to a pushy character makes him unbearable—not because I like the ML, but because his behavior itself is irritating.
Maybe there are people who find this acceptable because they compare him to the ML, but I don’t.. For me, that comparison doesn’t matter, because he was never going to be the endgame anyway. More importantly, the MC only sees him as a friend and has no romantic feelings for him...
So I’m not comparing him to anyone else—I’m just judging him as a character on his own...
And for me personally, I find his behavior annoying...
In the end, the ML apologizes and does not approach the MC until the MC comes to him. They talk, resolve everything, and the story ends...
