Is the ending the only problem? I don’t think so...
What really frustrates me is that they ended up together...
I honestly wished they had just gone their separate ways, because I ended up hating the MC so much..
I forced myself to continue reading because, unfortunately, I can’t drop a story once I start it. I need to know how it ends, otherwise it keeps bothering me…
So, does the MC deserve what happened to him? Of course not... No one deserves that kind of treatment from family or from that disgusting rapist...
But do I like him? Not at all...
I still want him to heal and live a better life—but on his own, without dragging others into his chaos...
I just wish he had disappeared completely from the ML’s life.
From the beginning, he was rude and awful, but I kept making excuses for him. ..
I kept saying, He’s lonely, he has a terrible family, a messed-up life…
But you know what? There are so many people in similar situations who don’t treat others like garbage. Still, I thought maybe his character would improve over time...
And guess what? He left the ML without any explanation—not even a message. Just like that, because he wanted the ml to be as miserable as he was. He even admitted it himself...
I thought, okay, maybe we’ll get a chasing/redemption arc, or at least some character growth...
But instead? He drinks, does drugs, sleeps around with random people, all while saying he misses the ML… and then dating someone else for six years...
That’s ridiculous...
But ok Fine, let’s ignore all that—his life is his choice..
But then how can you say you love the ML?
That’s impossible. It really is.
You don’t abandon someone for years without a single explanation, then come back with all that nonsense and call it love..
you come back because you want to live again?
No. That’s not it.
You’re selfish.... You treat him like garbage, like a backup option.
When your other relationship failed, you decided to go back to him just because things didn’t work out the way you wanted.
No one forced you to stay in that relationship for years. Even you admitted that you were the one clinging to it.
And suddenly, when that person stopped giving you attention, you remembered the ML and decided to go back and ruin his life again...
Fuck you... Over and over again...
He never loved him...
There isn’t a single action that proves otherwise. He just used him from beginning to end...
And what do we even know about the ML and his life? Nothing.
All we saw was a doormat with no personality, no opinions, no self-respect—just someone who exists to be stepped on by the MC...
In my opinion, this story had potential, but it was completely ruined...
The MC is unbearable, and the ML was written as someone who exists only to wait—without dignity or self-worth...
That’s why I wanted them to separate completely.
The MC could heal and live his own life, and the ML could find someone who truly loves him and makes up for everything he went through...
But the author says there will be “sweet side stories”… and honestly, that just made me laugh.
I will never be convinced that the MC ever loved the ML. Not now, not ever.
Totally agree with you, at the very beginning there was a potential, but totally ruined on the way, flat, not well throughout characters, everything pushed just for angst without any sense, no resolution, no redemption, no growing, obviously author doesn't know how to express emotions in her stories and well... it just shows author's lack of writing skills, wasted potential
The story ends at chapter 63.....
My opinion is that it was boring and very average...
The ML is a jerk who later regrets his actions, while the MC is timid, indecisive, and stays silent until the end.
What I found strange is the introduction of the blonde character as the 2ML, and how his personality was changed compared to the original novel...
From the beginning, it feels unnatural that he falls for the MC after less than a month, just after noticing his suicidal signs, as if his feelings came out of nowhere.
In the original novel, he was a friend of the MC who had some feelings for him but never confessed because he knew the MC liked someone else. They remained friends
Here, however, his role becomes much more pushy and uncomfortable....
In one scene, after drinking and staying at the his house , he doesn't try to kiss mc and even sleeps separately. But here, he is portrayed as someone who tries to kiss a sleeping person, which feels creepy..
Later, when they meet at the ML’s brother’s studio, he complains that the MC never replies or calls him, and another character even says he seems obsessed.
After drinking, he tells the MC he feels different about him, says he will try something, and kisses him without consent. The MC pushes him away and tells him to stop, but he tries again.
The ML sees this and leaves, while the MC is left shocked.
In the original, this was only a simple hug.....
A few days later, they meet again.
He says he normally doesn’t act like that when drinking. The MC feels uncomfortable and tells him he will pretend nothing happened.
However, he continues and says he usually doesn’t pursue someone who rejects him, but he doesn’t want to pretend anymore and wants to date the MC, of course the MC rejects him...
In the novel, this was only a phone call, and he never confessed because he respected the MC’s discomfort.
There is also a scene where they meet in a store. The MC gives him an umbrella...
He apologizes, but again behaves strangely, asking if the MC likes the ML, saying he is better than him, and admitting he was trying to change himself to be liked, but it doesn’t work.
The MC apologizes.
He then asks for a hug just for that day, saying they can go back to being friends tomorrow, despite knowing that the MC is uncomfortable. ..
In the original novel, he simply wished the MC well.
Let’s forget about the ML—he is completely a jerk, with no discussion...
But what I disliked most is how someone the MC only knew for a month suddenly inserts himself into his life and becomes overly persistent. It feels unnecessary and annoying....
His personality change from a supportive friend to a pushy character makes him unbearable—not because I like the ML, but because his behavior itself is irritating.
Maybe there are people who find this acceptable because they compare him to the ML, but I don’t..
For me, that comparison doesn’t matter, because he was never going to be the endgame anyway. More importantly, the MC only sees him as a friend and has no romantic feelings for him...
So I’m not comparing him to anyone else—I’m just judging him as a character on his own...
And for me personally, I find his behavior annoying...
In the end, the ML apologizes and does not approach the MC until the MC comes to him. They talk, resolve everything, and the story ends...
