Totally agree with you, at the very beginning there was a potential, but totally ruined on the way, flat, not well throughout characters, everything pushed just for angst without any sense, no resolution, no redemption, no growing, obviously author doesn't know how to express emotions in her stories and well... it just shows author's lack of writing skills, wasted potential

Is the ending the only problem? I don’t think so...
What really frustrates me is that they ended up together...
I honestly wished they had just gone their separate ways, because I ended up hating the MC so much..
I forced myself to continue reading because, unfortunately, I can’t drop a story once I start it. I need to know how it ends, otherwise it keeps bothering me…
So, does the MC deserve what happened to him? Of course not... No one deserves that kind of treatment from family or from that disgusting rapist...
But do I like him? Not at all...
I still want him to heal and live a better life—but on his own, without dragging others into his chaos...
I just wish he had disappeared completely from the ML’s life.
From the beginning, he was rude and awful, but I kept making excuses for him. ..
I kept saying, He’s lonely, he has a terrible family, a messed-up life…
But you know what? There are so many people in similar situations who don’t treat others like garbage. Still, I thought maybe his character would improve over time...
And guess what? He left the ML without any explanation—not even a message. Just like that, because he wanted the ml to be as miserable as he was. He even admitted it himself...
I thought, okay, maybe we’ll get a chasing/redemption arc, or at least some character growth...
But instead? He drinks, does drugs, sleeps around with random people, all while saying he misses the ML… and then dating someone else for six years...
That’s ridiculous...
But ok Fine, let’s ignore all that—his life is his choice..
But then how can you say you love the ML?
That’s impossible. It really is.
You don’t abandon someone for years without a single explanation, then come back with all that nonsense and call it love..
you come back because you want to live again?
No. That’s not it.
You’re selfish.... You treat him like garbage, like a backup option.
When your other relationship failed, you decided to go back to him just because things didn’t work out the way you wanted.
No one forced you to stay in that relationship for years. Even you admitted that you were the one clinging to it.
And suddenly, when that person stopped giving you attention, you remembered the ML and decided to go back and ruin his life again...
Fuck you... Over and over again...
He never loved him...
There isn’t a single action that proves otherwise. He just used him from beginning to end...
And what do we even know about the ML and his life? Nothing.
All we saw was a doormat with no personality, no opinions, no self-respect—just someone who exists to be stepped on by the MC...
In my opinion, this story had potential, but it was completely ruined...
The MC is unbearable, and the ML was written as someone who exists only to wait—without dignity or self-worth...
That’s why I wanted them to separate completely.
The MC could heal and live his own life, and the ML could find someone who truly loves him and makes up for everything he went through...
But the author says there will be “sweet side stories”… and honestly, that just made me laugh.
I will never be convinced that the MC ever loved the ML. Not now, not ever.
