Bohra is a good recc, btw. I feel like the team animating donghua MDZS used Bohra as a visual inspiration. Definitely in how they drew the various types of eyes in the mdzs donghua.
Good luck finding some good, new bl or manga, tho! i know it can be an uphill battle, based on just what a veteran fujin like myself has been thru.

if you dig a bit on the web or on dedicating discord servers, trying finding scans of the Ai no Kusabi novels if you want to try reading older, very influencial stuff. there's 8 novels published in English. the translations are not great, but i'm still grateful to have 7 out of the 8 (rare and Out of Print) physical editions.
it's not for everyone, but it's a defining novel for the boys love genre.
Try MRM, they have a great collection of bl manga. i have read too much and flew to close to the sun, that's why i feel that way as well.
my fav mangakas are all retired or stopped making darker and more engaging manga due to the pressures of the public and editors/publishers.
my favorite manhwas were all older, dark and twisted or very cute and sweet, but with the best ratio of both. nowadays, most go into extremes and the stories just never pull me in like the older classics did (k/s & blood bank.)

And there is such big diversity especially when i was reading them.
When i do not find anything to read i always go back to reread my old favorites, go on a no media for some time or try reading something i wouldn't usually read.

is it just me or does everything feel dead now? Like theres barely anything good just slop
