Yeah, they show him for like two seconds. There’s a bit of a time skip so that’s probably why
It doesn't get much better in the novel. There's about 2-3 more two second scenes.
But we do get a really cute scene with him at the end!
(I'm holding out hope for a sequel/side novel that focuses more on the kids, but I doubt it)
