honestly if you'll want to read stories about flat one dimensional characters who are either good or bad, just go read other stories. i always find comments complaining about how they're dragging it and there's barely any progress
it's a slow burn with well sketched out characters. which is how a good story is written. for once the author is not just saying that " this is a bad person. this is a good person " and is actually showing the characters and their stories, with their choices and the bad consequences of those actions. mincheol and haesoo were in love. it doesn't just end up in him cheating one day. obviously they have to show how it all fell apart so we understand why she's so insecure now.
I'm not defending any characters but honestly with the amount that you'll complain, anybody would assume that you'll would have stopped reading but no.
