Its actually so evil. Like theres a reason we have to read here instead of supporting officials most of the time... its called..."we dont have money" and even if we did why would be give it to shitty translators instead of supporting good translators in the community?

yup. i got banned off of the kaizen discord server for basically asking them why they’ve been paywalling chapters on their site. it was the first time i’ve ever seen it before i actually figured out it’s not just them and there’s like a dozen scamlation groups who are doing this.

the kaizen server is like a legit cult. they kept insisting that they work super hard, they’re not using machine translation, and they deserve money bc it’s unfair for them to do “unpaid labor”. not even joking. i have a whole recording that i can upload or u can even join their server to see the chats lol. they were actually insane trying to justify what they were doing. even if they weren’t using ai (which anybody can just tell that their translations are at least machine translated), this isn’t supposed to be “unpaid labor” this is supposed to be a fun hobby and to share manhwas and mangas for people who need entertainment but can’t afford to pay for it. don’t monetize something that is meant to be out of goodwill for people

the kaizen server also kept saying they worked just as hard as the artist and work “long hours” for the translations. like lol ur not translating a lord of the rings length book bro, its literally just sentence dialogues and cleaning up text
